Nearly every franchise company does something to promote engagement with its franchisees. National or regional conventions and meetings are common; however, there can be big differences in how well such events succeed in creating that true sense of community and family.
Beginning in 2011, MaidPro discovered a unique and extraordinarily successful way of deepening engagement and building upon the already strong sense of shared purpose in our special franchisee community. That year, we embarked on our first wild, MaidPro Adventure Trip, which blended a group of MaidPro franchise owners with corporate personnel. After a day of riding roller coasters and other amusements in Las Vegas, we traveled to Colorado’s remote Bar Ten ranch for a stint of horseback and ATV riding, skeet shooting, and line dancing. Then we helicoptered deep into the Grand Canyon for some white water rafting and camping along the Colorado River.
The idea of the trip was to leave business and shop talk (at least, mostly) behind, step collectively outside our comfort zones, and see what might transpire in terms of personal rejuvenation, bonding, and inspiration for future innovation in our business.
For those who participated, the trip was nothing short of life changing, and has inspired more MaidPro wild, group Adventures Trips:
- Surviving and cleaning up after a massive tropical storm on a private island off the coast of Belize
- Sailing a caravan of catamarans around the British Virgin Islands
- Exploring the Amazon Rainforest and other Peruvian wonders, such as Machu Picchu
As we embarked on our Belize Adventure Trip in 2013, we also added a local community outreach component that has since coalesced into the founding of MaidPro Cares, a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to make a difference for orphaned and high-risk children living in underfunded children’s homes around the world.
Each MaidPro Adventure Trip has brought together a different group of community members to share life-altering personal experiences. It creates a bond in ways that foster honest communication and collaboration when we return to the work of running and building our collective business. Additionally, we at the home office take care of all Adventure Trip planning, cost negotiations, logistics, and so forth.

Then ask yourself one simple question: Does any other home cleaning franchise company go to such extremes to deliver a truly unique and extraordinary franchise experience?
